We booked a last minute getaway at Hill End and stumbled across Hill End Lodge when looking for dog friendly accommodation. Check in was very smooth and easy and the room was very good for the price we paid. Beds were super comfortable and everything you could need for a nights stop. The lodge is super peaceful and close enough to walk down to Hill End Village. The village itself is a hidden gem of history that I'm surprised more people don't know about.

Rather basic accommodation, however, the rooms are comfortable and clean. I'd recommend the cabins Very chilled property, we had dinner in the dining room and a very good homecooked meal. Served fresh, hot and tasty.. I do recommend eating in. Wines are very affordable. Just a few minutes out of Hill End. Peaceful stay. 👍

Hill End Lodge is truly a hidden gem we stumbled upon while searching for a family getaway during a long weekend. The lodge, under the warm and attentive care of John and his fantastic team, exceeded our expectations. From the clean and cozy rooms to the charming presence of a rooster and hen making their rounds at 'The Shed,' every detail added to the charm of this place. Despite being fully booked, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional. We can't wait to return to Hill End Lodge in the future

Certainly a hidden gem of a place and John and his staff are excellent hosts. Lodgings were perfect for what we needed and the historic site down the road was very interesting. It is worth coming back to Hill End and seeing John and his team.

Found this place about 2 years ago and have been back several times since. Love the atmosphere, John and Bernie are wonderful hosts. The addition of 'Chubby' in the kitchen makes it even better. Food was excellent. Great base for exploring or prospecting if that's your go. Highly recommend it.
